Overview:
Another of the original Smoke Jaguar designs, they conceived of the Centaur as being a good workhorse design that could fight in all environments. While other variants have been tested over the years, the original Centaur has remained the most common because of how uniquely it does its job compared to other ProtoMechs.

Capabilities:
A fast and flexible ProtoMech, the Centaur is a good all-purpose unit. Its weapons reach short, medium, and long ranges, making it effective in many kinds of terrain from wilderness to city streets. If it has any weakness, it is in that it depends on ammunition resupply to maintain pressure on an enemy, but that has not kept the Centaur from being a mainline unit in the Clans that field it.

Deployment
One of the most common medium ProtoMechs in use, the Centaur is often seen fielded by the Smoke Jaguars, Hell's Horses, Jade Falcons, Nova Cats, and the Raven Alliance, where it is able to support any ProtoMech, BattleArmor, or BattleMech force with its flexible weapons array.
